HUNGER FREE CAMPUS

Resources on Campus

Besides the Campus Kitchen and University Food Pantry, SPU does not offer a Swipe Out Hunger program, but if any student is food insecure, SPU can provide them with institutional support and grant-funded resources. The resources depend on the needs of the students, for example, the Dean of Students has offered to cover a semester’s meal plan or the University is able to supply grocery store gift cards.

Students dealing with food insecurity are encouraged to reach out to the Dean of Students, Travis Whistler, [email protected] or Director of Community Service, Erich Sekel, [email protected] to explore the possible resources available.
